While it was parked in the driveway. Go figure. I'm tempted to get it back and part it out. But I wanted to hear some thoughts about how hard it might be and whether it's worth my time.

Holy Cow!

Move on.... Parting out would be a lot of time and might not net any results.

Holy smokes did he go air borne and Nail it!

Thanks goodness no one was sitting in passenger side or working on it.

(honeslty, i would just let it go to insurance, unless you want to deal with shipping and stripping it, and having a shell or parts of it all over the place)

salvage value is around $1300. i've also been looking for another NBS, which would possibly get parts from my truck if I went that route.

i figure the wheels and 1 yr old tires might be worth at least $800.

And yes, he ran thru the neighbor's yard, barely missing their tree, then went airborn and landed on the side there. pushed it about 2 ft into my wife's accord.

actually was able to put it in reverse,(after he got unstuck) and drove away. caught him the next day still in the neighborhood trying to clean up all my broken class that was on his car.

If the insurance company comps you fairly then i agree with the others, kick it to the curb and move on. Parting these things out is a pain. If the tires are fairly new you might want to put them on craigslist and have someone swap out their old tires/rims for yours and pocket the cash first. That would be pretty easy $$.

Exactly what I would do if he had the time. Sucks its totaled but at least no one was in side. Is the Accord trashed up to?

ill admit ive drank and drive when i was younger and i got cought and paid the price for it a very high price learnt my lesson till this very day never got behind the wheel even after just one beer
but for someone to do that kinda damage because from what it sounds like he tore up half the neighboorhood to include your vehicle wich means not only was he over the legal limit
he was completely and utterly wasted out of his mind and if it were up to me hed permanantly lose his driving privilage
hell im amazied he could get the key in the door
