DVD is not playing but everything else lights up.

I have had my truck for 3 yrs. it's was and still is in very great condition. I tried to play a DVD while taking a short 2 hour trip this week end and noticed But no picture. What could be my issue?

Is there power to the unit? Can you hear sound? Will the DVD load/eject? Is it a factory unit?
