So i finally decided to do the e fan conversion but instead of the flex a lite or dorman versions where you have to get the computer programmed i went with two 16 inch universal pro comp fans and a derale single stage fan controller. I got the fans mounted on the radiator but the only way i can get the fans to run is if i wire them straight to the battery in return will run all the time. The kit came with a temp probe 180 on 165 off. Any wiring info on how to get these things wired up will be greatly appreciated.

I did an e fan conversion on my 02 suburban and honestly I think it would have been cheaper and less of a headache if you would have gone with oem replacement fans and a tune. I did mine over 3 years ago and the only problem I have had was my fuses blew. Witch is a easy fix.

I looked at the derale relay. Its about as simple as can be. There is a temp probe that triggers the relay on and off.

For those that are wondering, the derale fan controller i received from ebay was no good. After using a test light, one of my buddies that runs a radio shop and reading the reviews it was common for these things to not work or just quit working.. so i mounted the fans and went to autozone and bought some 12 gauge wire used a but connector for the two fans and wired the relay straight to the battery. I ran the wire down the frame and up through the floor and just mounted a manual switch this way i can either choose to run my fans constantly or when the engine temp gets close to 210. So without that useless controller the e fans were less than $80 total including the wire.

o jebus man, your going to burn your engine up like that!

Use two of these. and a seperate relay for each one.

Wire one via relay to fan 1.
Secons same as first to fan two.

Adjust fan one to come on at 200
Second to come on at 210

PLEASE DO THIS ASAP. before you smoke your engine!

OR Get a OEM fan harness and do it OEM Style..

the second being for AC is technicaly correct. but its annoying as hell and tax's the electrical system hard as ****, cycling a big ass high current fan on and off with the AC compressor..

I removed that shit when I installed my flex lites on my 04 with in a week.
Ran fan one from PCM and fan 2 via external temp probe linked above..

But for a stand alone system. I will Always use the method above and never recommend anything but that or OEM.

there is absolutely no need for the second fan to be wired into the AC compressor.

Get one of these harness., if you want a aftermarkey plug and play solution. You WILL need a tuner to turn the fans pins on tho. OR use that bitchen harness and those temp probes listed above to trigger the fans.
