Don't you get like 40 bajillion miles per gallon on that thing?

Everyone says (well, everyone who hasn't run E85) that your mileage will tank and the cost difference isn't worth it

If you don't have a yellow fuel cap don't even think about running E85 !

I have done a long term fuel economy test and I am only loosing about 1.4 miles per gallon with E85. I just filled up the other day, my lite was on and took about 22 gallons, I saved about $24 verses gasoline price here in Ca.

For 6 mths, I ran a mixture of E85 and regular unleaded in our 6.2 Denali. Everytime I filled up (20+ gals), I would pump 3 gals of e85 then fill it the rest of the way with regular. The addition octane in e85 makes it possible. Works great for me and saves a little $.

even if it gets 2-3mpg less it will still be way cheaper to run e85

e85 is 3.59 a gallon (has been since 2020) while regular is 6-7 a gallon depending on the station

Seal guy here - O-rings, gaskets, etc.

E85 affects rubbers differently than gasoline. If you run E85 in an engine not designed for it, you'll likely have damage/leaking in your hoses, gaskets and seals.
