I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with the edge evolution cs programmer for the 5.3's. I just have a friend that had it on his sierra and is getting ready to trade it in and just wondering if its worth it to possibly buy it and install it til i get my borla xs pro muffler and slp tips put on later. Any input would be greatly appreciated as I am new to the yukon's and gas world just diesels mostly for me.

Thanks again

There isn't a whole lotta love on here for handheld programmers. They are all pre-set with a certain tune, and that's what you get (we refer to these as "cookie cutter programmers", because there isn't much else they can do). Coming from the diesel world where any number of programmers will net HUGE increases...you'll quickly find that with gassers, it's not that easy. If the price is right on the Edge unit then go for it, but there are much better options and I'd do some research first. Lots of us use Justin at Black Bear Performance for our tuning. He uses EFI Live and gets much better results than any handheld device could give you, because he configures each individual truck exactly how you want it based on needs/wants, mileage, mechanical condition, etc. He can tweak the tune specifically for your vehicle, and will work with you to get it just right.

I'd shoot JennaBear a PM or go to their website and have a look at what they offer. I can speak from the personal experience of having two vehicles tuned by them - you won't be disappointed.
