Ok.. This might sound crazy cause it is. I have a 2002 Tahoe. Last week my Right headlight fuse blew out. Had no right side head light and went to limp mode only left side and very dim high beam light up at same time. Went to replace the fuse and the horn started blowing soon as I put in the new fuse. Horn wont stop blowing. till I pull out the right side headlight fuse or till the fuse blows again. I have replaced the headlight switch and turn signal switch(multi-function switch) with the same results. Any help with this would be great as I am going crazy at this point. I have also pulled out the horn fuse and horn relay and horn still blows if I put in the right headlight fuse.

Thanks!

I'll have to check that out. My horn was on and off intermittently with no pattern whatsoever about 10 days ago. Then that same night 10:15pm the horn came on and wouldn't stop. Truck had been parked for hours. Thought my neighbors were gonna be on my porch with pitchforks and torches. Pulled the fuse and haven't replaced it since. Just haven't had time to look into it. Thanks so much!

On my 04 denali i noticed that the right headlight isn't as bright as the left, this thread got me thinking about why. Thanks for the idea!

Similar issue. Passenger low beam "went out" but bulb looks fine. Now when I turn on brights the horn sounds at about 10% of normal volume. Small horn noise coming from behind the driver's headlight. Is that where the horn is located? Must be cause I can't find it anywhere else.

I'm going to replace the bulb first and see if that fixes anything. I'll also check all the wiring to both sides to see if there is any damage. Thanks for the idea.

The bulb seems to be ok as it looks good and a new bulb also doesn't light. Same behavior. I found a bundle of wires below the horn and can see a bit of copper on the green one (same color as horn wire). I separated that bundle but no change.

I'm now searching for a wiring diagram. This is going to be a PITA with all the wiring running around up there. Any ideas to make this easier to track?

Thanks in advance!

Update: my horns were shorting out. They were junk. Had to replace both horns. I should have bought oem's from the dealer. My mechanic replaced them with aftermarket horns and it sounds like a sissy car. Embarrassing. Might not be your problem but that's what mine was.

That's interesting. Thank you. So, there are two horns, one on each side of the radiator? Only the driver side makes the odd noise when the brights are on. I wonder if the other horn or wiring has crapped out and that's the whole issue?

As far as your issue I'm not sure. It'd be nice if your horns were just on their way out.

The passenger side horn is easy. The driver side is behind the grill and blocked from the back by the washer fluid reservoir. PITA to get to.
