Hi all,

I recently bought a 2007 Denali. Appears that the engine cover is missing... Rockauto has it and ships to The Netherlands.
When I look at the pictures of the part I see that there are three parts actually:
The main cover

A smaller one with the title 'rear'

And what looks like a mount ore something

My question is, do I need all three? I know where the main cover goes, the pins to attach it too are still there. But the other two I don't
know where they belong on the engine.
My engine looks like this:

Hope to hear and to learn.
Thanks!

@Carlo The part in the 3rd picture you already have, its bolted to the top of your engine and yes it holds the top cover. You can see the on the rear of the first picture the 2 notches, those line up with the 2 clips from the 3rd picture.

I can't remember ever seeing the part in the second picture.

Looking at the excellent pictures from this Ebay listing, I would say that you do not need the part in the 2nd picture: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2650816417...BnGqVQUWCcnO9fKy8CU4BdJA==|tkp:Bk9SR-znpYbHYg

can't tell from your photo, but if you look further under the engine top center where the 3 bolts are you should have a clip looking like the following, if so then you just need the beauty cover.

The second picture is a complete pain in the ass to install. I assume its part of heat management or sound deadending. I left it off mine when I did the valley oil o-rings. Just make it easy and order the top cover. It'll clip right in and look correct.

That second Pic is of the piece at the back of the engine that makes it so difficult to change the oil pressure sensor

I took the top cover off mine 100k miles ago and tossed it in the trash. I am not sure why it even needs one.
Took mine off minutes after I bought it.
It needs a better reason to be there than 'but it came with one'.

I’ve always wondered if the beauty covers are in any way useful?
