Yes, it is a direct swap. You just have to pull out the old one & drop in the replacement.

You should set the mileage to match the one you are replacing. Or you can get a torx screwdriver & take the current one out to swap over to your new cluster. I would swap out the lights on your current cluster to your replacement especially if your current one is in good working order. Believe me it is a bit of PITA to take everything out a second time just to replace a few bulbs or you can change to leds with the color of your choice.

Umm save your money...if its off a quarter of a tank...re install the needle. If you want...save yourself the hassel go to a junkyard and get FORD EXPEDITION needles. They are RED and stick em on. Then do LEDS of your choice. Really take your hoe in 23s over 100? use the money and get that SS BUMPER PAINTED!

After just doing the job (1 week ago), I know consider myself an expert in this area. I first tried to paint my needles white but failed. When I put the needles on, they were off too and i pushed one down too hard to add to everything. Soooo, saying that, it was time to break down and buy an esclade cluster.

Advice:
look on ebay for a while trying all different types of search methods.

When you get it in, do the LED swap.....best thing I ever did.

Change your odometer and trip meter, don't try and change the one on the cluster. I have no evidence to support this, but I believe there are tabs that will break off inside the meter if you try and move the numbers (something i've always heard)

I'm going to do a right up using my old gauge as a prop maybe tonight or tomorrow.

No need to disconnect battery. Think you should spend your money elsewhere. You know how to fix the problem but choose to go the exspensive way. Theres no need to have 120 speedo. You will never go that fast. Your riding on 23's. Lets be realistic. LED bulbs will run less then 15 to order if I recall.
