So I have a line on a really clean set of black leather esky front seats off of an 08 for a great price.

So my questions are:

1. Does the esky black leather match well with the Tahoe black pleather or will it be obvious mod is obvious?

2. My truck has power seats but manual recline/lumbar. I'm guessing that the esky seats are full power and probably are also driver memory ready. Assuming that I forego the memory for now, do I need to worry about any harnesses mismatching or is it simply a power connection and I'm on my way?

3. Anything else I should consider before doing this?

Thanks. :)

Mmm, airbag wiring in the seats?

Doesn't sound like a good starting point ...

I wasn't aware that the Tahoes had no leather at all... The Esky seats will match well though, because I have been in both and they are nearly identical, save for the feel. But, you might want to give the seats a good cleaning when you get them with some Lexol, those leather ones get shiny as hell.

I have an Avalanche LTZ and Escalade and the leathers in them look completely different. I don't know how it would look if you did that honestly... I would definitely do it and then eventually switch out the bucket seats with Esky ones too. it's definitely worth it.

I haven't seen the esky seats in person but from looking at pics it looks like they are more glossy than my tahoe ones which are matte black, that's why I call it 'pleather' but it's probably leather. But I'm not sure so that's why I'm asking. :)

Yeah, not looking correct is a non starter for me. And the only way to get the 2nd row to match is to get the bench from an esky hybrid cause that seat is as specific to hybrids as it gets on account of the electric propulsion battery being housed underneath it. That's a road I'm not going to go down on ...

This only makes sense if i can just swap front seats and be on my way. I can't justify any more effort and expense than that.

Nope no AC or memory ... but the thinking was that just like esky mirrors which have features like blind spot alert and are heated and work on Hoes, that the seats would work under the same principle.

But it's starting to look like the whole thing is moot since the seats won't match.

I'm glad I asked though ... that's how I learn. :)
