I got some LED's in today, and they're a really good white. I like them. However, I don't care for the Escalade's lighting choice.

The parking lamps are clear 194's, that draw so little energy they are almost orange. I fidgeted with the socket and finally got to them, and put the LED's in. The left side worked and looked GREAT. But that's just it. Only the left side works. Yes, I tried turning the bulb the other way around due to the polarity, but nothing happened. It still works fine with halogen bulbs though.

So, I gave up on those and put the halogens back, but this time I bought amber Sylvania long lifes. They look better and brighter, but I can NOT get the stupid socket back in place. I might end up taping it to stay in place.

Also, I don't know why, but the parking lights like to run with the headlights. Whenever the headlights kick on, so do the parking lights. It looks weird. Should I just remove the bulbs altogether, or how do I even attempt to fix this?

Ugh, this lighting thing is a joke!

Zach I just put LED 194's in my parking lights and they look good. I had the problem of them not coming on try to wiggle it or blow into where the bulb goes might be some dust in there. I think maybe the LEDs might be smaller whre it plugs in. Also make sure the little metal I guess its like a prong are pushed down. I also put my 5202 LEDs in my DRL I think it might be harder to see them in the day I will have to get my wife to drive it down the road so I can see how they look driving. Have you found any little things you can change lights or whatever you can do on the escalade. Does your mom have a lockpick on the escalade? I love my new Escalade its pretty sweet. I also put 100 watt H10's in my fogs and they look real good brighter and they look white and not like a off white or yellow like the factory fog bulbs

That sounds cool I was just thinking about getting HID fogs for the trucks, well maybe not for the Escalade but possibly some extremely white Silverstar Ultra's. The lockpick may be a future mod because of the fact you can add more cameras, we were thinking of adding a front one to help for parking.

But yeah, these LED's don't make any sense. No matter what I did, the right side would NOT work. They acted almost the same on my Tahoe, I had to tape it in a perfect position to get it to stay lit when I put them in my courtesy lights. Maybe it's just my brand, idk. Also if you find out about the 5202's that would be great, I'd hate to convince mom to spend $75 on bulbs that aren't any different.

Not much more you can change in the Escalade besides upgrades/accessories. Here's what we're interested in:

  • LED's on the outside
  • Platinum interior pieces
  • Platinum grille
  • Illuminate the running boards and/or door entry Cadillac scripture only when a door is opened.
  • Lockpick with multiple cameras

More to come I guess. Let me know what you do with yours!
