I got some LED's in today, and they're a really good white. I like them. However, I don't care for the Escalade's lighting choice.
The parking lamps are clear 194's, that draw so little energy they are almost orange. I fidgeted with the socket and finally got to them, and put the LED's in. The left side worked and looked GREAT. But that's just it. Only the left side works. Yes, I tried turning the bulb the other way around due to the polarity, but nothing happened. It still works fine with halogen bulbs though.
So, I gave up on those and put the halogens back, but this time I bought amber Sylvania long lifes. They look better and brighter, but I can NOT get the stupid socket back in place. I might end up taping it to stay in place.
Also, I don't know why, but the parking lights like to run with the headlights. Whenever the headlights kick on, so do the parking lights. It looks weird. Should I just remove the bulbs altogether, or how do I even attempt to fix this?
Ugh, this lighting thing is a joke!
