What's the trick with the platinum heated/cooled cupholders? It's a factory platinum, so not a retrofit, but the indicator/mode buttons change colors.

Sometimes it'll be blue where the snowflake icon is, when it's cooling and will cycle to red where the wavy icon is for heating, then pressing again and it shuts the function off as well as the light.

Then other times it's just a white light where the red heating light was. And yet still other times there no light but I can hear the switch cycling on and off.

What gives.

Assuming it’s cycling all by itself right? No button pushing needed?

It sounds like there’s some residual refreshments sludge that’s gotten into the switch contacts. It’s always a question of how to clean up the sludge but not remove or damage the finish of the rubber, plastic or stainless trim.

No it works properly. It cycles when I push the button. Just doesn't always light up the same way. Why would there even be a white LED?
