Finally got my Escalade applique in and got a chance to get it on my Tahoe. I plasti-dipped the Caddy emblem and had a bowtie decal made for it. Let me know what you think.

Where did you get the applique? I'm thinking about getting one.

Mmm ... sorry Derek, personally I'm not feeling that look.

Two issues here ... one, despite the clever bowtie switch anywhere farther than a foot away it's going to llok like an esky emblem ... two, I don't like the mix of 'murdered' and chrome. (discount the second take if you're planning to get esky tails/3rd/d pillar appliques)

As much as i hate the stick on type liftgate chrome moldings for these trucks, I think if you want chrome there, it would have looked better with a plain chrome applique with a regular sized black bowtie on it.

Just my view, if you like it as it looks then by all means disregard it. :)

I'm not feeling it at all.
Main reason is because it does not contrast well with the blacked out lights. The applique and the step pad cause clashing themes for your rear end.
Second, it's a Cadillac emblem on a Chevy. Which will lead to a fair amount of negative criticism. If you doubt me, post those pics on GMFS and watch the ass holes on there tear it apart.

LoL I just saw Serge's post and realized we made the same points.

Well I like ir, clever idea with the bowtie in the caddy emblem. If u would of left the reverse light stock it would of looked better with the whole rear end. IMO

Not a fan of it at all. Sorry, but chrome attracts attention (ie accents part of the vehicle) not sure why you would want to draw attention to the piece above the license plate in the middle of the tailgate.
My other car is a 2010 ford fusion sport, and for some unknown reason a designer at ford thought it would be a great idea to have the piece above the license plate be chrome. I finally got around to dropping it off with my painter today. It looks better already and it's just in primer!
Ultimately its your car and your choice, but for the overall theme that it looks like you were going for it doesn't seem to work.
Just my opinion though.

Looks outta place because your ride is primarily blacked out and even though you customized it-it still looks like a Caddy emblem with a quick glance.

As stated above-as long as you like it-who cares what we think ;)
