I have been having problems with getting the tank to take more than a dollar at a time so i replaced the vent valve but I'm still getting the fill and click problem. Did i miss something?

same problem. if your lucky it is the evap vent valve, easy fix. if that don't fix problem try the line from the tank to the vapor canister to see if it is plugged. if it is you need to replace or unplug the line. then go to rock auto and get a new vapor canister as the old one is the reason the line plugged up by the charcoal from the canister. that fuel line being stopped up means you have to drop the tank to take it off.

I have the problem as well. Going to live with it until I get enough money to properly address it.

I tried the vent valve and I'm still getting the .73 and click fuel ups. I'll check the line when I get some time and light.

Ok, I've changed out the vent valve and the purge solinoid and I still have the click. I also have a strong gas smell everytime I fill up. Any suggestions?
