exhaust tuck..?

after spending an unneccesary amount of time cleaning the exit of the stock exhaust.. and looking at the back of the truck.. i don't think i want a dual exit.. nor do i want it single out the pass side..

has anyone tiddy'd up the exhaust.. by cutting it short.. up in under the rear..?

I think there is some law about emissions that prohibits the exhaust from exiting under the cab of the vehicle. On a truck you can do it, but SUVs you can not. At least not here in TX.

this is my old exhaust set up, i had them do it to where you can barely see it and it tucked up there....

a lot of people cut it up under the truck and put a downspout on the end... that makes it legal... it has to extend outside the vehicle, or to the ground. (this may vary based on local laws)

all the exhaust gas will go strait up into your trunk though if you just sit there...

My brother has done it this way on his pickup and I plan to do it on mine as well. You can see in this picture his exhaust. He has his tips just barely sticking out much like FatNLow.

my exhaust is just cut off after my muffler and i cant smell it in the cab at all... its probably about under the rear seats and no problems with it at all... one thing i love about florida... no emissions or inspection

ya i guess cali passed a new law making two exhausts illegal if they are dumped...
just dump ur exhaust....nice rumble and cheap

Here's mine! I cut the tip off and it dumps under the truck just inside the left rear tire. Much cleaner
