I have an 06 yukon xl. I would like to get more of a throaty sound out of it without spending a bunch of money. I love the sound of more throat to it. Im not looking for gains in HP just the sound. Not stupid loud or anything...just slighty mean sounding. Any suggestions for an easy bolt on for exhausts?

You may just want to get a flowmaster/magnaflow at a local muffler shop-
here in az they run for about 120$

if you are familiar with flowmasters - there are 2 common series that are used- the 40's series is the louder one- the 50's series is more of a performance one, but it also sounds pretty close to stock-

check out the vid : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLx3Rr1dM9w

you’re going to have to spend money to get it done

Flowmaster mufflers do not sound good and not a classy enough sound for these trucks. Also their design isn't good for performance.

Go to a shop and have a magnaflow or flow master mounted up to stock exhaust for $150. Check you tube clips....it won't necessarily show you the best sound and definitely not a good gauge on how loud it will be but it will let you hear the difference between the deepness of the sound each muffler makes.

I had a banks monster Muffer mounted with my stock tailpipe and love it.

If you want stupid cheap, and I mean stupid cheap, take a hole saw and drill a couple holes in your stock muffler. Seriously.

Cherry bomb glasspack! I put one on my yukon recently, and it sounds very good, deep, throaty, loud when you want it, and quiet when you don't. It was $50 off of Amazon, and shop charged me $70 to weld it into stock piping. Cheap, efficient, sounds GOOD! :Handshake:
