Damned pocket CD player took a hostage today! Actually, it might be cloaked..

Turn on the deck when I get in the truck this morning and notice the CD symbol isn't on the display and the radio is on FM which I never listen to.

Hit the eject button a few times, give the whole thing a bump with my palm....nothing. Zed's dead baby, Zed's dead..

Is there by chance a separate fuse for the pocket cd player or any reset possiblities? Owners manual is AWOL in case it had some codes within..

no fuses what so ever for the cd player. but the radio, is fuse #17 and a 10A i believe. try switching it out.
there is a full factory radio system reset (if your cd player came with the truck and was not later added). it's in the manual somewhere...

TahoeJim,, has your CD player taken one of your CD's hostage and will not spit it out hence your post here?

My 1997 Tahoe since I purchased it will not even play a CD when I insert one and my factory CD player just displays to me that there is a "ERR" but thankfully my factory CD player will eject the errant CD and allow me to at least listen to FM radio and such. Damn I would love to listen to some CD's but No-Joy here VIA factory player.

Replaced the battery cable bolts today, cleaned up the cable ends, redid some grounds, etc... Higher voltage on the gauge and the CD player is working again.

Although I was looking at the Sony BT-3700U head unit while at Wal Mart grabbing some Coke and ammo. $190..but then I'd need to update the speakers in the doors..
