Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and don't even own one of these vehicles, but am considering purchasing a 2007 Tahoe and am hoping somebody can help me out as I've found the forums for the rigs I have had in the past can really be a community that helps folks figure out problems or enhance their vehicle, etc. So, I'm looking forward to doing that here!

The rig in question does not have side rails installed. I'd like to install them or, better yet, just install factory tracks there (don't need raised side rail--a t-slot track will do to attach my Yakima rack to). The rig is white and where the side rails/factory tracsk would bolt on are little round black rubber inserts that I'm guessing merely plug the holes to where you would bolt on the side rails/factory tracks. Anyone have experience with attached side rails or (bettery yet) factory tracks to an otherwise 'slick' roof?

Thanks,

Jon

a lot of people remove their factory rack, some even upgrade to the better chrome Denali/Esclade roof rack.

You'll need the sides to be able to attach the cross racks that your Yakima rack attaches to.
