Fan problem?

So yesterday I bought a new Climate control switch. Before the new switch all i could control was the volume of air. After the new switch I can now change the temperature (Which I am very thankful for.). But I still cannot change the direction of the air. Anyone know how to diagnose this? Thanks!

move your mode switch while observing the linkage above the gas pedal. does it move at all?

Negative I see zero movement

Tap on it a lil with something, I used a flat bar when mine was sticking last year and it is still working to date.

Simply tapping it did work thanks guys. But in doing that i accidentally popped one of the springs in the linkage out. And lets say big fingers make that quite difficult to put back in place.
