*Corrected this thread, didnt realize the thread sections were broken down by year*, my bad

(2005 Denali w/ Bose)

I just had my JVC touch screen installed, and the Bose interface thing wired in also to get it to work with the factory Bose amp, but I have a slight constant hiss coming from the tweeters only in the dash. To describe the sound, it would sound like you are playing music, hit "pause" then turn the volume up kinda loud while it is still paused, you have the hum/hiss sound while paused, except mine is doing it while volume is on zero. Anyone have any expertise in this area?

I took it back to audio shop and the installer swapped out the Bose interface but it's still doing it...

thanks people

This could be a Bose specific issue, not sure. Typically this is because of a bad ground. Strange it is only from the tweeters. Regardless, if only head unit has changed that is likely the issue. Not the interface. Since you paid money, make the shop resolve the issue. Quick check would be to plug in your OE head unit and see if the issue goes away.
