Feedback noise through onstar speaker?

Hey folks just wondering if anyone has noticed this. After my truck sits for several hours and I start it, I hear some feedback noise throught the Onstar speaker or mic thats above the drievrs seat. It usually only last 5-6 mins or not even that logn sometimes but its noticeable....not loud but i can hear it ya know? Anyone else notice this or have the same problem?

If you're talking about the device above your head in the headliner, then that's not a speaker. It's actually a small fan that has something to do with the air conditioner and heater.

Oh ok..wow..i feel stupid now lol. Should i be hearing it when the rear a/c isnt turned on?

If you have the tri-zone heat/cooling, there is one above the driver's head and one in the back middle of the headliner. The one above the driver's head is for when the front hvac unit is on and the rear for the rear hvac. You can bang on it or blow air through it. Some people have had success changing it out for a new one. I would tell you to search, but I have no idea what terms you would use to find those threads.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.......

The part you are talking about is called an "Aspirator" in the GM parts catalog. It's not overly expensive to replace. It should take care of your noise.
