Hello everybody,

Last thread I posted I was still not decided on what car I wanted to buy

I have decided that I will keep my '09 Escalade in the states for family use, and I will buy a '12 Tahoe LT for my use while I'm in the middle east.

My first pick was a 3/4ton suburban for towing purposes, but as it turns out, I can only get 1/2tons over there, so I opted out for a tahoe as it'll do the job just fine for me! and I picked the LT as the huge price difference between the LT and LTZ is better put towards mods IMO

The questions I have are:

1. The Tahoe LT offered over there is a front bench seat and cloth only
I remember reading somewhere that someone here swapped the front seat out for a seat/console combo
anyone here got more info on what is needed + pricing?

2. As far as leather seat covers, I have read mixed reviews everywhere, many people swear by Katzkin, others think the covers are too saggy, any input on that (notice that I will most likely need covers for bench front seats, unless I found a good swap deal). Any other good companies? (roadwire for example, how's their reputation?)
What is a good price margin for 3 row interior?

3. Drop, seems like the kit of choice to most is the belltech 2/3
Noob question, does 2/3 mean 2" front and 3" rear, or what exactly does that mean?
what is needed to drop the car right?
Prices? Recommended forum vendor?

4. 26" KMC slides, any fitment problems? easy fixes? fitment recomendation? tire sizes? inputs please

5. I read about taillights, Many say the G5's are the best, but they need Escalade appliques? Who is a good vendor to get these from?
Also, any input on the ones sold by HIDguy? what are the differences?
http://www.hidguy.net/0711-Tahoe-Suburban-Silverado-Red-LEDTaillights?cPath=730_743_1270_1376

6. This is a member's car on here that I've been drooling over for a while :D
what grille is that? I love the look

Sorry for asking too many questions, but I really appreciate members/vendors helping with this build!

First of all welcome. :)

I'll take No. 5 ...

G5s are exact replicas of the tail lights you have on your escalade but harnessed to work with Tahoes/Yukons/Suburbans. Revotec is an ebay seller a lot of us get them from. You will need the escalade appliqués which are sold by TYF vendor: http://oempartsdirectinc.com/

G4s are similar in style but don't require the escalade appliqué ... they are the ones in my signature picture.

The ones Hidguy sells look like G4s, but Revotec sells those for around $180.

Mine are Anzo ... basically the same but supposedly higher quality and a lot more expensive.

No. 6. I believe that's a T-Rex Black One Piece Grille

No. 3. Yes 2/3 means 2" drop in the front 3" in the back ... it almost levels the truck down but still keeps about half an inch forward angle from back to front.

NorcalSS or The Suspension Source are both vendors on the site and have kits for your non-autoride LT.

Thank you Serge and Hammer for the info!

so far, I am contacting the vendors to find out who has the best deal on a belltech 2/3 kit

I am pretty sure I will go with the G4's too as I don't wanna get the Escalade appliques, and the price is pretty good! but that is still a maybe

As far as the grille, I thought it was a T-Rex at first, but looking at their website and on TYF, the T-Rex looks different

I actually like the one I posted better because it doesn't have the outer frame

Keep the info, answers and recommendations coming guys :)
Pictures are also helpful for a noob like me, thank you!

What country?
As for the drop, 2/3 does mean 2" front and 3" rear drop. Belltech makes the best one and NorcalSS (the vendor on here) can get it for you.
As for Roadwire, their leather kits are just as good, if not better than Katzkin, so don't worry about their quality.
Last, if you want the Slides get a 295/30/26 tire. They are your best bet to minimize rubbing with the drop and +25 offset the KMC 26" wheel comes in.

Haha hopefully by the time someone does the Tahoe will be up for sale so they can have it if they want!

I will be relocated to work between Saudi Arabia and the UAE (Dubai)

I think once I have my order in for the Tahoe, I will place the order on most of the mods and ship them in my container to save a bit

Will have to look into roadwire, thanks for the input on that

As far as the tire size, that is what I was thinking too
is the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico the only option because that is the only thing that pops up on tirerack

Thanks Modded for your input again, it is very helpful!

That's a nice "stance?" :)

I'm really liking the way the tahoe sits with that drop

as far as black being so last year, my Escalade is DWT and I love the color, all my current cars are pearl white, but the dealer in Saudi is charging 5 ****!ng g's for DWT (and only offered on LTZ trim), I told them to #^&*$*)((*#)&$^ (you get the idea :D )
