Alright, my 02 ls tahoe just rolled over 100,*** miles (bought it in the 90,000). I bought it from a used dealership (mac haik) in Febuary. Not sure what was done previous to me buying it(i do change the oil tho). Should i go ahead and do a complete tune up? IE: plugs, wires, filters.

2nd, the AC compressor was making a whine noise so they replaced the compressor, sometimes it seems like it isnt blowin as cold as it should, im comparing it to my wifes mazda 6 and i understand its alot larger but still......should i get the refregirent level checked even tho the dealership did the work?

3rd, sometimes when the truck has been runnin and is warm and i hit the gas turnin and driving straight and i kind of hear a roaring sound but not long enough where i can get out and listen. thought it may be the power steering but level is good and fluid doesnt look burnt. i know the fan is belt driven (im a diesel mech in the army, so im used to hearing that roar when humvees fan clutch engage.) is this the reason why people are switchin to electric? is the roaring normal? i just cant get to it quick enough when i notice it to get out and hear it.....

lastly, and sorry bout the long post, it seems as if the throttle is stickin in park, i hit the gas and seems like it slowly comes down, sometimes when driving it will kinda stay up there when i take my foot off the pedal. could be normal but i highly doubt it.....hopefully after readin this long post u dont get pissed off enough to not "enlightin me"

Yes. Complete tune up is a good idea. I got mine right at 90K as well, and that's the first thing I did. It made a huge difference!

The A/C should blow Ice cold. Take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it.

The roaring sounds like you might be hearing the intake. It's pretty noticeable on mine too.

As far as the throttle goes, that's pretty normal, as long as it's not creating any safety issues. There just doesn't seem to be much engine breaking on these trucks.

Hope that helped,
Chip

Yes bro, that did help. Thanks a lot. Going to get plugs and wires today. The problem with the A/C compressor is I recently moved from Texas to Virginia and the dealership is in Texas. Guess ill call them. Maybe I should check the freon level?

See if the dealership in your old town will cover the cost at the dealership in your new area (ask both dealers!!!).

If you're doing plugs and wires, you might as well do the fuel filter too. It's really easy and it's something important that usually gets overlooked! I also reccomend doing a K&N (or RUSH) drop in air filter while you're tuning her up. I just did a Rush drop in with the swiss cheese mod and it was the biggest and best gain for the least amount of money. REALLY GOOD MOD!!!!! Most bang for the buck, hands down!
