I noticed today that I get a short hiss/white noise sound for a few seconds after I shut off the engine. Only noticed because I had the hood open and it stops within a few seconds. Everything works fine (including AC) so I'm wondering if it is normal??

Otherwise I assume I've a vacuum or similar leak.

I have never noticed it on the tahoe but engines are pulling vacuum when running so when you shut them off they leak down to ambient pressure. Some engines are very loud doing so. I wouldn't worry about it unless your truck is not running properly.

Do you have a cold air intake? Since i added one i hear mine now. Just the air slowly stop sucking in the intake.
