After waiting for 23 days of backorder my hids are installed. They are DDM 55watt 12,000k. In the head on pics there is a little tint of blue, but while driving the lights are white. Which is weird. I bought the 12000k bulbs knowing that the color would washout a bit. But LOVE the way these look.

Thats what I was thinking but hey whatever. These pictures dont do justice. These 55 watts are crazy bright. Everybody around here has 35 watt kits. I was thinking my friend thats in my sig pic has 10000k 35 watt might switch out bulbs and see if they are more blue in his. I wanted a little blue but also knew the color would wash out a little bit. Thats why i got the 12000 thinking they were gonna look more like 10000, but look more like 8000.

IDK after driving to the ATM in the middle of the night I might be convinced that these are 12000k. They are deffinantly not as blue as I wanted but they are just a little more white than the wifes 35 watt 10000k. I think what makes em look so white is just the reflection off of my house and garage. The spread on these are crazy. Like if im parked directly next to my porch its like the porch light is on. Maybe also that my headlight housing is black. Never thought of that.

you have to remember that 55w washes out the color fast when it goes up the kelvin scale

it will preserve color towards the bottom of the scale

you can always buy more sets of bulbs, they are only $15

but nice choice on the HID's :)
so many people give me shit for running 12k's but I love the color AND brightness!!

As mentioned, the 55w power really kills the color. They are still fairly blue, though.

I can tell you from your pictures that you need to adjust them down. I won't lecture, and it actually has a pretty decent cutoff for a reflector, but they are pointing too high. You're going to blind people.

Looks pretty sick, though!

I thought my cut off was pretty low considering how far away I was parked from the garage. The only time the light was right in my eyes was when I was down on one knee. Not geting mad at you Scott. Im probably not gonna adjust them unless I start getting flashed by alot of people. Then i'll turn them down.
