Well after 2 months of having the Tahoe down for the count and various expenses that put a hole in my pocket and made me put fixing the Tahoe on the backburner, I have finally finished repairing my ride. Right after I got my pink slip to the Tahoe the engine seized and just gave out on the freeway. I had actually just hit 261k right before it happened. Everything but the alternator, engine block, a/c system, and power steering pump on the motor was replaced. New pistons, crank, heads, seals, gaskets, all new hoses, EVERYTHING. I replaced the radiator as well while I was there since it was in pretty bad shape, new U-Joints, and while I was checking those it turns out the driveshaft was bent, so that was replaced, new tires (stock size... for now). Well anyway I've been working at it slowly and diligently in between family and working long shifts on the ambulance, but now it's done and it runs even better than ever. It's been almost two weeks since it's been back and I've put almost 900 miles on the odometer. Oh yeah, it's still a gas hog, but it's my gas hog.
BTW, the gay woodtrim inlay on the cluster was done by previous owner, it was all over the interior and i had to go in and tear it all off. Enjoy.
