Hello all very exited to say I have finally got my title for my Tahoe. Going to get it on the road tommorow. Finally get to see how the Tahoe drives on the street. Couple things I was wondering. Is is a bad idea to run the exhaust with the cat back? I have got a new Gibson dual side swept performance exhaust but I broke the bolts off in the cat back flange on the y pipe and need to travel about 15 miles or so to get to an exhaust shop I trust. I have heard it can ("supposedly") damage the exhaust valves not having back pressure? I guess some poeple believe they will overheat or warp from improper exhaust flow but from what I know theres only 2 problems I see. Being very loud of course.lol and the exhaust fumes could get trapped and leak into the interior being right under the truck sticking straight out with no turndown could be dangerous if sitting still for to long like bad traffic. Otherwise any mechanical damage I may do traveling to an exhaust shop?
