ok, the Denali i just got has a flip down TV for the rear passengers. it's nice, but i don't like how i can see anything in back when it is down.

so i ended up buying a set of headrest monitor that i'm going to put in. i would still like to keep the flip down. but my question is about wiring everything up. should i just get y adapter cables to the video signal & branch them out from the main source? what about a video signal amplifier that can also split the signal?

any input on the best/correct way to do this would be appreciated.

Why dont you invest in backup cameras aswell. I will eventually get a moniter in my hoe but id just think think the y connectors could work. Not sure so dont trust me because i havnt done mine yet lol

Y connectors will work. But a video signal splitter/booster is preferred when using more than 2 screens. But for the price difference, I would go with the Y connectors first, and then upgrade to the signal amplifier only if you have poor picture quality. If it looks fine and works fine with the Y connectors, then leave it be.

i do plan on putting in a back up camera too. but i was going to do that one like i did in my truck where it's on a switch so i can turn it on anytime. the in dash radio will have a separate plug for that.

how do you think those splitters/amplifiers on ebay are? there are some that are about $25 from what i've searched. since they are only $25, i may just try that one out.

i was just going to use the monitor for the back up camera in the dash unit itself. although i do like the idea of having a small monitor just for the back up camera.

For only $25, I would try the video signal splitter/booster. You would probably spend around $10-$15 on Y cables to do the same thing.
