I have a 2012 Yukon Denali XL. I finally decided to get LED fog lights. No problem right? Hop on over to Amazon.com. Grab me a pair of these.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016O424B8/

Get them in. Try installing them, they pop right back out of the hole. The tabs don't catch. I can pull them right out with my fingers, even if it feels like it's installed properly. I spend an entire evening trying to get them installed. I even take out the fog light lens housings out of the truck so that I can find out what's going on, and can see where the bulb tabs aren't catching into the housing. Put the old Philips halogen bulbs back in, they fit perfectly, with a nice solid "click" into place.

Cheap bulb design, I thought. I found a thread online which said to cut the rubber gasket and remove it because it's interfering with the install. I do that to one bulb, and it just makes it worse/more loose.

So I complain to Amazon, and then order a pair of these.

Get them in today. Lo and behold, they have the EXACT. SAME. PROBLEM.

The bulb connector is correct. It's 5202. The bulb socket type is correct. It's PS24W, which itself is printed on the fog light lens housing. Why won't any of the bulbs fit?!

I end up jamming the bulbs into the socket as far as I can, and then securing it to the lens housing with a contraption of damn zip ties. It's installed, nice and secure, and the lights work just fine. I'm still very unhappy about this entire thing, not to mention tearing up my fingers and palms for something which should be a simple plug and play install.

What's the deal? It shouldn't be this difficult. I know I bought the right bulbs. Twice.

I was actually contemplating replacing the entire housing along with the bulb, so thanks for that. This is just plain ridiculous, though.
I initially put HID's in mine, which fit, but melted the housings so I went with the round led's, morimoto makes some nice one's but there almost $300 and the light is yellow, I wanted at least 6k

Put some dieelectric grease or some silicone lube on the rubber o ring and it will slide further in and catch. Dirt and crud are built up in the housing not allowing you to push them in far enough.

Trust me, that's not it. The tabs are so cheaply made on the LED bulbs. They are flimsy, too thin, and can't/won't snap up far enough to catch on the housing.

I couldn’t get the stupidly designed fogs in at all and they wouldn’t seat on the side clips so i put some dielectric grease on the outside of the oring and they slipped right in and clicked right in also, about 2 wks ago.
