Hey Guys, never joined an automotive forum before, but here I am! I've worked in the car business for 16 years and recently had a '15 Tahoe LS traded in the previous owner put leather, heated seats, and take-off 22's on. I came out of a pretty much fully loaded '05 Yukon and going into this pretty base Tahoe shows how much 10 yrs can make a difference in "basic equipment." The only thing I'm missing here from the Yukon is the sunroof (which I never used) and the DVD player which I'll get one added.

Work I've done includes custom front grill with billet inserts, Escalade-style tail lights, 2.25" rear drop, and of course debadged it. I love this truck and can't believe how many advances were made compared to the '05, but that's expected.

I'm not sure what I'll do next. With covid keeping everyone home, I did most this work this spring, and probably won't do too much more this year other than smaller stuff.

No, mainly just because it's nothing fancy. It's a black leather LS interior. I have the uplevel gauge cluster but the base center screen, so the little guy. I'm just fine with that. I love this truck's basic equipment because as it gets older, less to break, and it's easier to fix.

Welcome from Miami Beach Brad...I love what you have done so far to it.

I figure as mine gets older and things break and I do not really need it that bad [like cooled&heated seats] I just won't fix it.

Out of curiosity how many miles on your Tahoe?

Oh I think I just passed 95k

Nice trade up to the K2XX gen. The NBS is still one of the best models IMHO. :) But yes the basic equipment upgrades align more with the advancement of the times. Looks good.

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.
