Hello Gang,

I have to change my front brakes pads tomorrow, they are screeching.

I never have change an ABS brakes pads before.

I read that you just cant push the caliper piston with a C clamp like the non ABS brakes.

How are you guys changing the pads?

I read that you have to open the bleeder valve push the caliper piston, don't you have to bleed the complete system when done?

Any input will be appreciated.

You could do it either way, but cracking the bleeder reduces the risk of pushing contaminants back into the ABS unit.

I connect a piece of tube on the bleeder and put the other end in brake fluid. Crack it open, push the piston in and close it. I haven't had to bleed afterward, but it wouldn't take long to quickly bleed the calipers.

I've replaced mine several times the normal way, I've never heard of it being a problem because of ABS. I wouldn't worry about it.
