I'm thinking about installing a Friday by view camera Friday. Has anyone done on on the nnbs?

I have the pioneer 4200nex, so I can use the rca input for a camera. I will wire it to constant power, as I will rewire the rear camera, that way, while in motion, I have the option of toggling between both cameras.

Thoughts of on placement? The Yukon bumper has a slight downward angle, but I may stick in the lower grill.

I have the Rosen GM1210 in my 08 Burban and I installed the forward cam in the center of the grill at the very bottom. I installed a 3 way toggle inside the drivers side 12V socket cover on the dash so that I can toggle between front and rear cams on the fly and I installed the factory USB port in the pass side 12V port location.rps20170926_225753_672.jpg

That's slick. Where did you get that switch?

Ebay... I can't remember what size it is but I want to say 3/4" diameter, but don't hold me to that... I just measured and bought it and hoped for the best and it fit perfectly... lol

One of the cool features about doing it this way, besides the obvious fact that you don't have to drill any extra holes and it is hidden, is that when you close the cover it automatically flips the switch to the off/center position.

My HU has a CAM button at the bottom center of the touch screen. I am utilizing the factory rear camera and before this mod I had to be in reverse in order to use the rear cam because it is controlled via the data line. I found where the camera gets power from under the drivers kick panel and I rewired it through a 5 pin relay so that when there is no power going to the relay it functions as the factory intended when you put the truck in reverse it automatically shows the rear cam but now I can give power to the front or rear cam anytime I want and be able to see whats going on.

Sorry OP for the long disjointed ramble... and for slightly derailing your thread... now back to your regularly scheduled programming... lol
