well i notced a leak coming out of the drivers side input shaft of my front Differential and when i drained the fluid a chunk of metal fell out :favorites68:

i am tied up in a nv4500 swap and cummins diesel swap im not going to be able to afford sas/14btff till next winter

how much am i looking to spend for an inexpensive diff rebuild i can probably do it my self with help so i just need parts.....i would like to also swap in new gears at the same time....

so i guess im looking for someone to point me in the direction of a cheap rebuild kit for the front and rear and a cheap gearset

i dont need super offroad performance stuff it literally has to last me untill next october when ill do it properly and swap in 1 ton stuff

Swap the whole front diff out with a junkyard unit. That is probably the cheapest.

LOL Yeah go get some junk from a junk yard and throw it in our truck and hope it works.

Pull the cover and find out where that chunk came from. Could be a tooth that got sheared off, could be a spider gear issue ...

Randy's Ring and Pinion usually has the best prices.

http://www.ringpinion.com/DiffWizard.aspx

Go there, enter your specs, look up what you need. Diff rebuild kit is $130ish.
