Seems I had this problem before but cannot recall how I fixed it. I had thought it was a bad fuse but checked them all?

My front driver side door will unlock but will not lock. Any ideas? Thanks!

Not wanting to assume...
When you say "not locking", do you mean with remote, with interior switch or both?

I think you can get in there with Tech 2 and see what is up at the lock solenoid. When I was playing around, I saw all kinds of useful information like current state (active/inactive), voltage and the ability to issue lock/unlock command. That would help quickly find whether the solenoid itself is actually working. If you can command it to lock/unlock from the tool, then the issue might be with the switch.

Also... Watching the state being active/inactive, you can push the button on the switch and the remote to see the switch/remote is sending lock/unlock commands to the solenoid.

Just being able to see the inputs, outputs, changes in state can go a long way to diagnose what works and what does not.

I may have to pull out the schematic again. Lock does not work from remote or switch in door. From what I recalled the lock for driver's side door is it's own circuit for some reason.

I don't have access to a tech 2, and not sure it would help. I have simple contact switches with no feedback to computer; they are older style unlike the newer CAN networks switches or whatever those are.

Check the power at the lock/unlock switch. Dollars to donuts you aren't getting enough power there. If that is the case, I'd take a look at all your grounds, and the door wiring specifically. For ***** and giggles, you might evaluate your battery and alternator performance, too. But it is most likely a wiring issue.

Thanks for asking @S33k3r Not yet, I have to put the truck aside for a few weeks. I had something come up at work I have to attend to.
Work has a way of interfering with all kinds of life plans and fun things!
But, for many of us, that is an unfortunate reality...

Hang in there kid! You'll be back wrenching on the Tahoe before you know it.
