I have a 1999 4wd 4-door and am getting a popping-clunking noise at low speed whenever I hit a bump out of the front end, driver side. It does not make the noise at highway speed. It may be louder or occur more often when making a left turn. It has new shocks and I thought that they might be loose and I went ahead and tightened them up. That seemed to stop the noise but it is back and everything is tight. Any ideas?

You have loose hardware or bushings on you front end components. But on turns consistance with wheel speed clicking or clunking noise can be a worn out cv joint at the outerwheel. If you can get the vehicle up shake all the components real hard to find play in the parts.
