Hello all, new here. Just bought a 02 Tahoe and discovered my front speakers are really, really faint, but rears are all good. I don't really want to pull off door panels if I don't have to in order to check or change speakers. Could this be an amp problem? Where do I start?

Sorry, yes all stock radio (non bose), adjusted fader and balance. While going thru vehicle I did find two rca jacks in middle of floor area that were just loose and not wired to anything, just short peices of speaker wire. I have no idea what the previous owner had installed.

I had the same problem. I replaced the factory head unit with aftermarket, the signal made it throught the factory amp to the busted stockers I replaced.

I am going to go the 4 channel amp under rear seat route and not use any factory crap.

Removing door panels took 5-10 minutes tops. Youtube shows the exact way to do it.

Check the speakers first. Mine blew and I swapped them out. It is so easy. Also you can pull the head unit really easily by removing the trim ring around the dash and releasing the tabs. Two easy check points. If you know a bit about stereo wiring the amp is behind your glove box.
