Needed a refresh with 145k! Have replaced tie rod ends and sway bar links about 4-5 yrs ago. Shocks about 1.5 years. Noticed the tie rods had movement on outter boot. New Moog CK upper/lower C/A, hubs, axles, tie rods I/O, sway bar links and bushings. There always seems to be a sticking point in my projects. Can’t for the life of me, get the left side, rear upper control arm back bolt out! Also. Can anyone tell me if the steering knuckle is stock? I have the 2/3 drop on rear and the front is lowered. Just never figured out how they lowered it. Ran out of ideas and about to torch it, just kidding. Thanks for help.

The axle looks original. My axle on the Escalade looks like this and is also original. You can lower the front end by unscrewing the adjusting screws of the torsion bar spring. This means that the torsion bar has less tension and the front lowers.

Update - All is great now! Had alignment done the next day and was off just a bit. So much better driving down the road. Way better feel and don't get jarred to death when going over a bumps. With new front end and body bushings I thought it would ride a bit smoother, but it's all good. Just need to get front/rear sway bar bushings and the damn pitman arm. Rented a puller from local parts store and would not come off. I didn't have any heat and I think that would have worked. Have an issue with left rear sway bar bushing since I did the 2/3 drop relocation. It has bent the metal bracket that goes over the bushing and I will have to figure a way to get the nut off. I even used a high grade bolt and nut for reassurance.
