Hey all thanks in advance for any help. I have a problem getting the fuel pump to install on my 2011 Yukon Denali XL. I have pulled the pump out and reinstalled it a few times to make sure it wasn't getting caught on anything at the bottom or the fuel level float was causing issues so I'm pretty sure that's not the issue. It just doesn't want to seat into position. The fuel pump was the ACDelco M100094 so pretty certain it's the correct part. Any ideas?

Even though you did not say what engine you have, the two options of 5.3 and 6.2 take the same pump. The only difference is the choice of what you got or E85. Also says the one you got comes without level sensor. Hope you transferred that sensor over. For that kind of money, you would think GM could provide the level sensor on a new pump assembly.

The height it states is 10.7 inches. What is the old pump assembly height? What is the look when you compare?

I am now going to look at the video.

Did you look down in the tank for something in the way? I want to see a pic of the old and new, side by side.

is the basket on the bottom fully seated?, half the video shows nothing and can't see what is stopping it from the bottom

Side by side pic: Pic

I did move the fuel float indicator to the new part. Visually they look like the same part to me the heights a little bit off but I think that's because I had to beat the crap out of the old one to get it to come out.

Also when looking inside the tank I don't see any type of instruction that would prevent proper installation.
