I have a 2003 Tahoe 5.3 flex Z vin.
Fuel pump stopped working, no pressure. I checked the small relay under the hood in the fuse panel, replaced the fuel filter. I took out the existing fuel pump and replaced it by accident with a nonflex fuel pump and it ran but when in gear it tried to stall. After doing some research I noticed that somebody replaced the harness from the factory square to the rectangular connector. Which means I was running a fuel pump not made for the flex fuel previously. Got the flex fuel pump and correct connector from Chevy, when I wired it up, the gauge works and you can hear the pump run for 2 seconds but it doesn't push out any pressure or fuel and the truck doesn't start. Tried another pump thinking it was that and got the same result.
Anybody have any ideas?
