Then there is Sch 40 PVC 2" pipe cap for about a Buck. Drill a hole towards the bottom and hook it to the door. Water tight and dust proof , matching colors for White and Black vehicles .......

2"I'D Sch 40 PVC Cap is 2 3/8 ID. Works like a charm. Drill u a little hole and hank it on the hook or attach some cord.

Good idea, i like that. Reminds me of when i was a kid and my father was looking for the cap to his overflow on our ‘76 allegro motorhome and i grabbed the top off the small can of spray paint and put it on, it fit perfectly...

how long have you had that on? Throwing any cels? Just curious about the venting or if it’s causing any issues..i guess not or you wouldn’t have posted.

It's been on a couple months and doesn't seem to affect anything. The "capless "filler is sealed so there isn't any venting concerns. I've knocked it off the hook while filling a time or two and that is the only drawback I've had. I've noticed some water and dust behind the door at times so this is just a little extra insurance

Ok I have to ask, what is the reason for wanting/adding a cap to the capless filler pipe?
