Gas mileage 2018 Yukon XL Denali

I have a 6.2 an have only burned Premium

I get 12 to 16 in town. Remote start is brutal on milage

21-22 mpg with 25 mpg as a high on the Road.

What are you folks getting?

My 5.3L is getting about the same. I wouldn’t say it gets as high as 25 on the highway as a max though.

I'm at 2k miles and the best I've seen is 19.7 on 100 mile roundtrip. Thats up and down a mountain. Non-XL here. Figure it will loosen up and do better a miles rack up

2017 regular length Denali 6.2 here. I get 15 towing 5k pounds and 22-24 on the highway. Here’s a recent pic from a Christmas road trip. 2200 miles averaging 22.5 mpg. That was with 91 octane—the swill that goes for premium here in Calif.

I don't see how auto start would affect anything, it does not make one iota of a difference on my 2012 other than hours on the engine

I also have the 2018 6.2 w the 10 speed transmission running mostly 91 octane in my Yukon Denali (shorty) premium w 22" all seasons. In town 17+ mpg and on the road 23-25 mph in 2 drive. I just put on 20" snows for the winter and drive in Auto or 4 wheel high which reduces everything by at least 2mpg.

2015 Yukon Denali with 8 speed trans. For straight short tripping around town, I see around 15mpg's running 93 premium. If I'm running 2 lane and keeping it under 70mph, it's easy to see 20+mpgs. On a recent trip to northern Michigan and back running 80-90mph, I got a little better than 17mpg's. This was also with my Thule roof box up top which certainly isn't any help with fuel economy. Considering the size, wind resistance and power train of these vehicles, I feel that the fuel economy is downright excellent. For comparison..... My previous vehicle that my Yukon Denali replaced was a 2008 Hummer H2. The Hummer had the 6.2L engine and 6 speed trans, it did not have the AFM/DOD that the newer trucks have. I was lucky to see 11-12 around town and maybe 13-14 on the highway (providing I kept it south of 80mph).

Ditto...Seeing the same MPG with the same summer / winter set-up. MT ski trips @80mph with a pod...happy to see 20mpg.
