Howdy folks. New 'round here, but I've read, followed, and gotten a lot of good ideas from this site, but now I need some advice. So, here's my crisis.

I've got a 98 Tahoe that I've owned about 5 years and it never bothered me until recently.

The DRL emblem on my gauge cluster is always on. Even when I switch my headlights on.

When I flip my headlight switch my dash lights all come on as suspected, but the DRL emblem remains lit on my gauge. It only really bothers me now because I did the LED conversion and I've got the clean looking blue and that green indicator throws off my vibe.

I guess I could just unplug the bulb from the cluster and fix it like that, but I'm curious as to what the cause may be. I think maybe some funny work was done to the switch to make it work by the previous owner.

Thoughts?

unknown at this time.
If it is real quiet with the key on, engine off, doors closed and softly turning the switch on do you hear the drl relay clicking between parking lights and headlight switch positions? Because otherwise that light suggests something is likely wrong with the headlight switch or the wire to the drl module that tells it to stand down.

BTW, not really a crisis just a minor detail.

Haha. I know it's not a crisis, I added it for the hyperbole effect because of how minor the issue is. Thanks though, Sun. I'll check it out. :Handshake:
