Gauge problems

Hi I need help. Today i was driving my 2005 Tahoe on the freeway. The dash lights and warning lights reset like the ignition switch turned off but the switch was not turned off and the Tahoe never stalled. I noticed that when the lights finished resetting the battery light was still on. I pulled over and shut it off and restarted it and it has been fine for the 35 mile drive home any ideas what it could be ?

Have the battery and alternator tested.

Also check youtube for videos of how to check for a bad cluster if everything else seems unaffected.
