I am ordering replacement stepper motors to replace mine as like most are erratic at best. And going led while I am in there for backlights.

My question is if I replace the faces with one that has the Trans temp can I just add a stepper to the board? Was planning a replacement needles anyway so just add that and be on my way...

I am very handy with a soldering iron and not looking to out the nose for a replacement.

Yes it will, but I believe it still needs to be programmed, which would set you back about $85. Id just get an eBay cluster that already has it. Probably be better off.

If someone was to buy one off eBay would it still need to be programmed for proper mileage anyway... so not seeing an upside to this.

So with that said. I am going white faces. Blue led back lights and stock needles for now. Face is out for delivery and steppers and LEDs for Thursday..

the mileage isnt programmed in, thats an automatic feed from ECM/TCM/BCM, as far as i know or have delt with, with the trans temp gauge will work without prog. or modification (plug and play)

So these trucks all have the ability to monitor trans temp, it's just a matter of swapping to a cluster that has one? The wire/connector is just hanging ready to go?

The wire is already in the connector. Just need the gauge...

Still fighting with a few LEDs but I will get that panned out in the next day or two

Here are the LEDs that was sent to me. And I thought they looked a bit odd. However they fit under the clear plastic light distribution piece.

A few are still not working. That could be operator error...

And here are the solder joints of the steppers..
