Where are you guys buying your ring and pinion gears? And what brand do you recommend? My 99 currently has 3.08's and I would like to give it a fresh new set of the same gears.

Is Richmond gears any good?

That's such a high gear. Why not get some 3.42s or 3.73s?

But yes Richmond is a good company to buy from.

3.08's came with it (per the RPO code) and since there hasn't been any problems driving it on the streets or freeway, I would like to keep it the same. Ok, so is summit or jegs a good place to buy them or is there a specific place you all shop at? (im new to the suv parts scene).

thanks

A good website is Randy's ring and pinion. They have everything you need there. Including the master install kit you will need. There they carry Yukon gear which is also a really good company or the GM ring and pinions.
