Put on my airaid intake tube and took a picture of the crap in my intake of my 09 Yukon Denali 6.2. Tips for cleaning? Already installed a catch can, my first mod! There is some smoke in there so hard to see it all with my crappy cell pic, but oil on the bottom with some tan **** bomb on top.

I was wondering this as well but i can not find anything about this anywhere.

So I popped my engine cover off and had a look at installing this catch can. Before I do so I have a quick question. The existing stock hose running from the back of the valve cover to the top of the manifold is a hard black plastic and seems to be smaller diameter hose than the stuff provided with the catch can (maybe the ID is the same but OD is definitely smaller).

My question for you guys who have installed this, did you just pull this harder stock hose off of the fittings on the manifold and valve cover and fit the new hose directly to this fittings or did you have to replace the fittings themselves too? I was pulling on the hose on top of the manifold in attempts to wiggle it off but I felt like if I pulled to hard I was going to break the plastic fitting connected to the manifold and really be hooped. Any comments or suggestions? Do I just pull the stock hose off from these two fittings and slide the new hose on in their place?

I Just used the stock fittings. Shouldn't be that hard that you would break fittings

Yeah I didn't get overzealous with it, just took a quick glance at it and fumbled around with it.... I'll try prying the hose off; don't think there should be any need to remove the fitting itself if not required.
