Wanna get to the back of my new receiver to change an aux cable. It's late and haven't really looked into it, but do I just remove the bottom hinge and the whole thing comes off??? It's an '02 Tahoe. Thanks

Just push in the stopper (bracket) that holds the glove box open and it will swing open all the way. No need to remove it. Make sure you empty it first.

I had to remove the glovebox when replacing the front AC evaporator core and the entire bottom panel from the drivers side to the passengers side has to come out. First u have to remove the panel below the steering column then the center console piece with the cassette player/cup holder. Once u do that, there are some screws behind that allow you to drop the glove box along with the rest of the panel.

Too much effort. Just pull the bezel off and you have access to the radio. I don't see the need to mess with the glove box. Even when removed, space is tight back there.
