Since I have owned this rig I have had a rattle that has bugged me intermittently. Turns out that the glove compartment latch has lost tension and is loose and rattling. I looked up on you tube and replacing that latch is all tied in to a rod that reaches over to center of the glove compartment front cover. I saw in the video that you have to remove the entire glove compartment cover and then the inner attachment that then allows access to the latch at the left end of the cover. I saw where the guy had to drill out some rivets and then on reassembly he had to reinstall it all and used small screws in place of the rivets.

Is that what I have to look forward to? Easier way? Does not look hard but is tedious.

I had the same rattle i folded up my business card and shoved it behind their rattle gone 10 second fix.if you slightly pry the glove box out while driving does the noise stop.If so you can also put some longer rubber bumpers in their.
