Have a 2019 Tahoe LT with the 5.3, and was wondering if a swap to the 6.6gas has been done.

No, the GM 6.6 gas engine that replaced the 6.0.6.6 gas?
You mean the isuzu motor which is a 6.6 duramax diesel?
I believe there are a few companies out there that have done duramax swaps on the k2xx but you'd be spending a lot of money and getting something only somewhat reliable I'd imagine.
Now, if you meant to say 6.0 or 6.2 swap, then that's more common as many of the parts are the same with the 5.3
Gotcha, I didn't see that the new 3/4 trucks had a 6.6 gas motor. No, the GM 6.6 gas engine that replaced the 6.0.

Looks like it makes less power than the 6.2l
And it's lower compression so it will use regular gas.But has no mumbo jumbo AFM/DOD
Good information, guess I'll put in 3.73 gears, and make do with the 5.3.I don't think you would be gaining much going the 6.6l right right now. You would be miles ahead using the 6.6 crank with matching rods and pistons and the 6.2 block. the 6.6 has some funky exhaust ports and I doubt highly that anyone is making any retrofit headers today. The flywheel would also have to be different. Now if you can find a complete pull out with harness, transmission, etc the whole 9 yards it ight make for fun swap. Its not going to have the high end HP of a 6.2 but down low its a beast.
