I know it doesn't do stuff for the airbags, door locks, brake bleeding, etc, but if you want a real engine tuning/scanning solution, HP tuners is the way to go. I've been using it for years on various vehicles. VCM suite is their software. It's a little pricey but man it works well for pretty much any engine and transmission related programming you may want to do.

https://www.hptuners.com/

It comes with the ability to program 4 vehicles and additional vehicles are $100 each. Some more depending on the year. If you have a friend or two that will split the cost with you it's a great deal.

The Tech2 will program (tune) an engine too. What do you think the dealerships use to program the PCM? You do have to get a GM account setup via the net though. You can get a yearly subsription or a VIN subsription.

I'm very aware of what a tech 2 does. It doesn't have the interface that HPTuners has and it won't log like hptuners does. And you don't need a subscription to a GM account. You go into pretty much any private tuning shop in the US and you'll find them using hptuners, not a tech 2.

Received my clone the other day. Literally took 5 days to get here from China once the order processed.

Once I got the data card seated in the tech 2, I started playing around with some of the functions on my 04 Yukon Denali. Seems to be working great. Looking to see if I can disable tpms. If anyone knows the correct menu steps it would be greatly appreciated.

I'll keep updating as I use it

5 days? That is fast! Ill look through mine and find the TPMS function and list the menu to get there.

So guys, used my tech 2 clone to troubleshoot my service ride control message.

Was able to get into the ride control module and isolate the DTC down to a faulty exhaust solenoid in the compressor. Replaced the compressor and all is good now.

Also was able to see all the ride height sensor values and ride control system psi.

All in all, feel like it paid for itself just in diagnostic costs

Yeah its not as simple as hitting a button to disable. I believe you have to reprogram the passenger window switch. Which means, getting a subscription, and programming it to another PN.
