The only equipment differences that I’m aware of are 20” wheels and safety alert seat on SLT.

Performance-wise, LT gets one MPG better highway fuel economy, due to better aero.

In terms of trim, I prefer the LT gauge cluster and control knobs to those on SLT. But that’s a matter of personal aesthetic.

3 reasons why I chose my SLT over the Tahoe LT; Fog lights, full LEDs in front/rear and ventilated seats/perforated leather.
Plus, I think it looks more upscale all around. I almost pulled the trigger on a Premier Tahoe and would have gained the magnetic ride, which I really really wish I had now...

Please just a moment of your time to expand on your desire for mag ride after owning a ‘21 without.

Honestly, I think my true dilemma is SLT v. Premier. Just having real issues searching for Burban Premier inventory.

I assume, based on your previous comments, that if you had to do it all over again, you’d go with Premier over SLT?

Hello gentleman,

To answer your question; I would actually go with the Yukon AT4. It has everything I want, but at that time it wasn't available. A base AT4 comes with Magnetic ride and everything else I have. However, my SLT does have every option and I could do without the rear screens.

When I was first test driving these trucks way back in July, I could only drive a Premier and Z71. So I drove the Premier for a long test drive and really liked it, but wanted a Yukon because of the look. Once a Yukon came along I jumped on it. After driving my SLT home from delivery I was disappointed with the ride. It seems choppy to me and I can feel most of the roads imperfections. I did not notice that in the Premier and both had 20" wheels. My 2019 Ram 1500 rode much better and it was the basic spring suspension.

Jack Baruth, of Road & Track, Hagarty, TTAC, et al, and a Silverado owner, recently called out that ‘19 RAM suspension as the finest riding on the market.

Jack Baruth said:
On the road, the old Ram rides a lot like the new one, and far better than the competition. You cannot buy a GM or Ford truck at any price that goes down the road with the smooth assurance of this $40,000 leftover, nor can you get the kind of brilliant high-speed freeway roadholding that comes standard here despite the horrifying aftermarket tires. Not only does the Ram ride well, it’s resilient, as we discovered on a few short off-road trails. Last but not least, while in South Carolina we had a poorly secured aluminum ladder fall into the road ahead of us. With no time to stop, and given the inadvisability of trying to slalom a 5500-pound truck on “Primewell Valeras,” I elected to hit the ladder at full speed. The final score: Ladder 0, Ram Classic 1. Astoundingly, the now bent-in-half ladder flew out from under the truck and almost struck a local sheriff’s deputy in an Explorer. Thankfully, the deputy wasn’t frightened by this because he was intently looking at his phone and thus missed the whole incident, including the various swerve-and-screech maneuvers happening behind him.
